This policy describes the information we process to provide the functionality of Meestory and other products based on it. Accept this policy only if you do so of your own free will, use of the service is voluntary in all cases, you may not be forced to use it.
To provide Meestory, we need to process some information about you.
We collect personal data connected to your Meestory Account that are related to You as a person. These are the following:

We also process and use data provided by You and Others while using Meestory or other products or features based on it.
Content provided by you while using Meestory, such as messages and other information. For example when you register, join a Meestory Land, create or share content. This includes information of the content created by you, or information related to it (e.g metadata), for example the location a picture was taken at, or the creation time of a file.
We collect information about your connections to people, events, hashtags and other features, and how you connect with them using our products. For example the people with whom you go to or apply for the same kind of events, whose events you saved, what kind of hashtags your saved events have, what kind of events you apply for.
We collect information about how you use our Services. For example, what kind of content you view or interact with; what kind of features you use; and the date and frequency of your activity. For example, we log when you use our products and what content you view. We also collect information about how you use the features, for example the event creator. We attach information about your device to the usage data. By default, we do not connect any of this information to You or your Meestory Account, but you have the ability to enable this for better recommendations and a more personalized experience.
We receive and analyze content, communication and information that were created by other users while using Meestory. These may include information about you, for example if others upload and image of you.
We also collect information you provide while contacting us with your feedback, recommendations or ideas. We also save some metadata, such as the date of the contact. Furthermore, all information that You or the Meestory Land Owner provide while requesting platform support.
To provide the service, we need certain information about the devices (computer, phone and other devices) you use to access the service.
Information, such as the operating system, hardware and software versions, battery charge level, signal strength, available storage capacity, type of browser.
Unique identifiers, device identifiers and advertisement identifiers. (We only use these for better identification and security measures. We do not use them for advertisement purposes.)
The language or languages used on the device, time zone, exact time and IP address.
The approximate location of the device, the area, city, country, that we attach to usage information. We do not store precise location information, unless it is required by a feature, such as real time location sharing. Even in this case, only for the minimum required time.
Data about cookies stored on your device, including cookie identifiers and settings.
In case an error occurs while using a Meestory product, we collect information related to the error, and information that can aid in fixing the error. This includes information about the quality of the internet connection of the device, references of parts of the software that caused the error and further device information.
The main purpose of the collected data is to enable the functionality of Meestory and to improve it. Furthermore, we share certain anonymized usage statistics with the owners of the Meestory Land.
We use the available data to provide Meestory to you. This includes customizing features and content. We also give you suggestions (such as for events, search hashtags you may be interested in, or Users you may want to follow) in and outside of our products. We use the following data to create unique, relevant and personalized products for you: Based on data collected by us, or provided by you or others, we use your connections, settings, interests and activities; how you use and interact with our products; what people, what kind of places and events you are connected to, and what interests you in our products. As a part of the service, we share certain data with other Meestory Land members, as a part of the functionality of the product.
We use the information available to us to improve, test and fix our products. This includes creating surveys and studies, and creating, testing and troubleshooting new features and products.
We use the information available to us to create case studies that we publish and may even use for marketing purposes. We do not put any personal information in these, they only contain summarized data that can not be identified or traced back to any user.
We use the information available to us to create regular or customized reports that include usage information and specific data related to one or more Meestory Lands. In these reports, we only provide aggregated data, top lists, which may contain statistics for an identified User or event, but these are generated from the data of all Meestory Land Members. Usage statistics are not released in a context where usage is linked to the User who created it.
If it is justified and necessary to meet a need that arose during a platform support request or other contact, we may use some of the information collected to meet that need. If this is clearly against the interests of the User or would result in unreasonable or illegal disclosure of data, the request will be rejected.
Some of the data collected may be released directly or in aggregate form. This is possible in the following cases:
Where the functionality of Meestory requires it, or the User uses that function, we will share information with members of the given Meestory Lands. This includes the Land Profile, events created in that Meestory Land, participation in events, and other operational data that form the basis of the functionality.
We provide Land Owners with the information they need to manage users, moderate content, and study the community that uses the Meestory Land.
All data that is shared with all other Meestory Land members is also available to Land owners. Data that is only available to a closed group (e.g. event-related message exchanges, application messages) will only be shared with members of the group unless it is reported as inappropriate by a User, thus sharing it with moderators.
To moderate Users, Land Owners will have access to all files, images, videos, created events, and any other content that was reported as inappropriate, regardless of their visibility settings.
In order for Land Owners to better understand and connect with the Meestory Land community, we provide aggregate data, top-lists and trends. These never contain activities that can be directly linked to a particular User, but aggregated data can be about a particular User (For example, whose profile was viewed the most, which events are most popular, whose events are most popular, which search tags are most popular, who is the most followed member).
In order for Land Owners to be able to manage Meestory Land members or their access, we need to provide them with your contact information that belongs to your Meestory Account.
We transfer data to third party service providers who help ensure some or all of the functionality of Meestory. The list of these partners and the privacy policies for the data they manage are as follows:
Most data can be accessed, modified, and deleted using the Meestory platform. If this is not possible through the application, please contact us at privacy@meestory.com to perform this operation. After contacting us, you can:
Certain data is not considered personal data and will not be deleted automatically. If such data can still be classified as personal data, then upon express request, it will also be removed from the system. For example, the following are considered such data, and will not be removed automatically:
Meestory products may also contain links to third-party content that is beyond the control of Meestory. Review the privacy policy of any site you visit.
If you no longer wish to use Meestory, you can request the deletion of your account and associated data as described in the section Accessing, modifying, or deleting data. Similarly, you have the option to delete only a selected Meestory Land membership.
If a Land Owner decides to remove you from a Meestory Land, they have the right to cancel your membership or delete your Meestory Land data. (However, this will not terminate your Meestory Account.)
Once the deletion process is started, there is no way to restore the data, it is an irreversible process.
Below we define and explain some of the terms used in this document for ease of understanding.
The person who uses Meestory or other products and features based on it.
A Meestory Land is a group of users. Personal data will only be shared with the members of the given Meestory Land or its owners. Of course, within a Meestory Land there is personal data that is not shared with anyone, but even in the most lenient case it will only be shared with those mentioned above.
Each Meestory Land has one or more owners who have requested the creation and operation of the Meestory Land from Meestory Solutions Kft. Therefore, they provide you with access to the Meestory Land.
Also called a Land Owner.
To use Meestory, you need a registration that identifies you as a person. Thus, you can only have one Meestory Account. However, one should only be created if you can prove eligibility to join a Meestory Land. Therefore, only those, who have an email address, invitation, or other credentials that entitles them to join a Meestory Land, can register.
Because Meestory Lands are data-separated, each Meestory Land you connect to have a separate profile, the content of which is independent of other Meestory Lands.
